Mwuaah Voice Microblog is a collaboration between Peopeo and Hisunsray. This project is a third-party application based on Sina’s platform.[...]

Project Brief:

Mwuaah micro-blog is a third party client app based on the open API of sina weibo. It supports not only to collect, review, and forwarding functions, but also to forward blog content and/or images to contacts in address book through SMS or MMS. Moreover, it is completely free. The major cool feature about Mwuaah is its voice micro-blogging function, which is so convenient and entertaining. Users can easily record and publish a voice blog when the water is dropping, and they can also insert different voice effects, which bring in more fun. The editors of Mwuaah also select and push clear some interesting voice blogs to Voice Square among those clear quality, and fun voice blogs which user generated. Everyone can listen to them just by simple clicking the water-drop shaped icon. Mwuaah also allow users to record and publish their feedbacks and feelings via voice, which help users to remove from such trouble of typing.

PeoPeo’s Job:

From market research, competitors’ research, user study, define personas, use cases, product architecture, task flows, low-fidelity prototype, interaction design, high-fidelity prototype, UI specifications, implementation and tech support, VI design, etc. Peopeo team helped this project from an idea to the market.

The Challenge:

There were already many micro-blog client apps in the market, how to stand out among them, with fresh and interesting features, new interactive ways to attract more users, and maintain active user viscosity, that was the major challenge Peopeo team faced.

The Solution:

For the aspect of interaction, Peopeo team had designed new innovative interaction methods. For example, Peopeo team provided the experience for browsing the private messages just like how we quickly look through all the envelopers and letters. Bring offline real life experiences to the mobile platform, which is familiar yet fresh; Celebrity Square allow users to toggle to browse and search; When recording the voices, Peopeo team also creatively designed a water-dropping animation, vivid and fun. For the aspect of color, Peopeo team designed the app with rich and light color, with varied details. When designing the VI system, Peopeo named this app “Mwuaah”, which pronounced like kissing. Water drop was used as the basic element; even users’ profile image, buttons and icons had been design like water drops. Such design brings users close in heart, enhances the user experiences, plants the product deep into users’ psychological world, and makes it more popular. So, Mwuaah, come closer, dear.

Body Reader is a product innovation that Peopeo had done with French Telecom Orange Lab. It is a device based on sensor technology[...]

Project Brief:

Body Reader is a product innovation that Peopeo had done with French Telecom Orange Lab. It is a device based on sensor technology to monitor users’ physical and emotional situation. It has a ring shape, with sensors to monitor users’ daily body tempreture, pulse, blood pressure and other related indices; through these indices to analyze users’ emotional changes, and use different colors to display the wearer’s mood changes. Moreover, Body Reader can connect with PC or mobile phone via Bluetooth, users can connect Body Reader to these devices to get statistics analysis of their own blood pressure, heartbeat and other indicators to monitor health status. These daily changes in both physical and mental health data will be transmitted and stored in the cloud, which will help the user to have a long-term health monitoring. And appropriate health care services can be provided targeted at the user data.

The Challenge:

People often tend to hide their emotions, so it is difficult to track emotional problems. When people are in bad emotional status for a long time and lack of attention, many problems may occur. Besides, People in modern cities often has fast-paced lifestyle, many people are under sub-health situation. So the challenge is to innovate a product, to provide real-time tracking and monitoring for people’s physical and emotional situation and related data, and send abnormal information notice to the users or emergency contact, or health care specialists, to help users get good and timely care. Further more, Peopeo team aimed to bring a change for the cold and heavy existing medical devices and sensors detectors, mostly big and clumsy, and have to rely on professionals to operating. Hence, we wanted to design a portable and attractive products, which effectively integrated into the user’s life, rather than increasing the user’s psychological conflict.

The Solution:

To solve the problems and challenge, Peopeo team designed a sensor product, to monitor and real-time track information on the user’s physical and emotional information changes. With a ring shaped, wearable designe to make it portable, while special consideration on its material and color, so that it also become a fashion accessory. In information processing, Peopeo team designed the bluetooth based data sharing. By binding the cell phone and the ring, it enable the emotional information transmission and storage. And the information will be transmitted and stored in the cloud, thus the user’s health information can be long-term monitored, recorded and analyzed.

Fetion is an Integrated Communication Service launched by China Mobile. It includes voice(IVR), GPRS, SMS and other means[...]

Project Brief:

Fetion is an Integrated Communication Service launched by China Mobile. It includes voice(IVR), GPRS, SMS and other means of communication, covering three different forms (complete real time, near real-time and non real-time) of customer communication needs, to achieve seamless communication services between the Internet and mobile internet. Fetion allows users to send messages from PC to mobile phone, without any limitations; it also allow users to start a voice conversation with friends at anytime anyplace, and enjoy the lowest fare charge. Fetion also allows seamless file transfer and receiving at different end with different formats. MP3, pictures, office files, and other formats of files can be transferred freely, which enable users to keep smooth and effective communication with friends at anytime anywhere.

Peopeo’s Job:

Peopeo team provided services from information architecture design, user experience study, usability testing, product optimization, interaction design, user interface design, UI specifications, high-fidelity prototyping, market promotion materials design, poster and ads design, flash demo design, etc. The versions that Peopeo team had designed for the clients include Fetion mobile 3.2, desktop 4.1, Wefound and Aspad MID versions as well.

The Challenge:

The old version of Fetion was relatively simple, lack of many necessary features to allow seamless services at different end, the interactions were also very traditional feature phone style, and the layouts were just listing layouts or palace-like format. However, with the development of the mobile operating system and the phone itself, new ways of interactions can be provided, also different group of people may also have different requirements for the services.

The Solution:

Peopeo team based on the new upgraded mobile phone operating technology, together with the consideration of users’ intuitive operating behavior, came up with novel interactive interactions, bold use of brilliant colors, while also consider the special characteristics of various platforms and positioning. For example, the mobile version 3.2 used gorgeous colors, while desktop 4.1 used the China Mobile’s corporation image blue color (of course users can also customized the themes). Fetion at Aspad was business line style, while at Wefound was semi-transparent crystal style. The interactions design was also taken into account the way the target population and the special features of the platform. Optimized product plan and improving design were provided as well after usability testing and user experience study, and realized in the new version of Fetion, such as offline messages delivering and offline file transferring, etc.

Shengbo is a website that Peopeo designed for the visual impaired people and the blinds.[...]

Project Brief:

Shengbo is a website that Peopeo designed for the visual impaired people and the blinds. The purpose is to allow the visual impaired person can share audios and make friends through this website. Through in-depth research on the special needs, accessibility issues and special requirements from the visual impaired and the blinds, through humanized considerations and design, Peopeo team make it easy for the visually impaired and the blinds to access the website content very easy, so that they can find lights and hopes from the website.

The Challenge:

During the project process, Peopeo team had conquered many challenges, which including the floowings:
1, Equal participation in Internet applications: How to make this site a platform with proper applications which allow the visual impaired people equally participate and be able to involve into the mainstream society?

2, The psychological experience of different users: how to design the site which allow both the visually impaired people and normal people to use this site together?

3, The blind user’s habits: The blind people currently rely on the screen-reading software and shortcuts on kepboard to surf online, their user habits need to be considered. Besides, when designing the layer of the pages, too many layers cannot help them to form a clear picture on the web space, and will be confused on their location on the site;

4, The visually impaired users habits: page font size, color, content and page background color contrast and dynamic effects and other factors will affect the visually impaired users to effectively access the information.

5, The conflict of user habits among different users: different users may have different degree of visual impair and acuity, hence their physical differences and user habits need to be considered and well designed.

6, The site’s usability: rich content, yet simple, logical, easy to operate, are general requirements when designing a site. The special target users has brough special requirements when designing this site. But even though, we donot want users to learn any special languae or logic about this site, it has to be so common and intuitive.

The Solution:

Shengbo has the following five features:
1, The structure is more simple, any complex operations are simplified.
2, Reasonable shortcut key has been provided, to avoids t complicated operation.
3, It allows the users to write a blog with the voice, which gives the visually impaired users more distinctive, personalized experience.
4, It has more voice prompts. Which is convenient for all types of visually impaired users to browse and search for the site.
5, It utilizes the voice control technology, which help the users to operate easily and to give a command.
It has innovative features in the UI interface as following:
1, Multi-channel interface: It has multi-channel user interface, adhering to the “science and technology across the barrier” concept, fully using the Internet and information accessibility technology, providing humanized user interfaces for the visual impaired and for the blinds.
2, One screen operation concept: The interface is simle and only one screen size for each page. The menu and navigation have been placed on the pages at fixed location, which allows the users to quickly switch pages and to access information.
3, The unique presentation of content: The frequently changing features and content have been put in the framed area, which reduce the size of user’s visual focus area, so they do not have to spend too much time on the pages. The title lists are also simplified, easy for the users to locate, and quickly target the information.
4, The enhanced visual information elements: for low vision users, large sized and clear fonts and icons, high contrast, simple icon and text navigation, have been used to allow users to easily identify and understand.
5, Barrier free sidebar: For low vision users, upon their requirements for the content display, barrier free sidebar has been provided at a fixed position on the pages, which allow users to switch the skin color of the site, adjust the fond size, select a different color scheme or use a magnifier on the screen to enlarged the part of area.
