Project Brief:

Social networking had become a very important online activity, now it moves to mobile phones. Daker is such a mobile SNS(Social Network Service) application. This app has three sections: my page, activities, and match. Users can set up their profile and photo in My Page, can receive letters and check recent visitors; users can initiate or check an event or activities such as carpool or eat together, besides adding and/or editing friends’ list; Match section can quickly recommend a friend to the users or they can search friends by their information or just simple shake their phone to find a lucky match. This app breaks out the asymmetry of information, and provides users with more friends channels, also offers publishing and access to information.

PeoPeo’s Job:

Peopeo team worked for this project, from market research, user experience research, information architecture design, interaction design and interface design, usability testing, product visual identity design, and also support for the development.

The Challenge:

Because of busy life style, white-collar workers have to face traffic congestion, high cost of living, commute between two pints as a line everyday, they have no time for communication and dating, and their social circles becomes very narrow, which living style has been called “homer”. Therefore, this project is aimed at this problem, Peopeo team wanted to help “homer” be able to go out more and make friends, solve their problems. This app need to be simple but works, that users will be actively using it, meet their needs, help with their social needs.

The Solution:

Through same city friends making, carpool, dinner invitation, invite friends, quick match and other features, this app addresses many problems for target populations, and also enhanced the activeness of participating. Besides, based on user experiences, simple and intuitive operation logic and task flow have been designed, which allow smoothly interactions and communication, and come with stylish visual effects.
